Professor Stephen Morris

Stephen is the RAND Professor of Health Services Research at the University of Cambridge. He leads the Cambridge Research Methods Hub, is co-Director of the Cambridge Centre for Health Services Research, and is Deputy Director of the Primary Care Unit. He is an experienced health economist, with expertise in health technology assessment and the economics of service and delivery interventions applied to a range of health service innovations. He sits/has sat on several major funding committees at the National Institute for Health Research, where he advises on health economic issues, and was Vice Chair of a Public Health Advisory Committee at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. He has written over 200 peer-reviewed publications. He has undertaken research into the economics of excessive crying, including the COSI study and a recent NIHR-funded study to develop a support package for parents of excessively crying infants.
